INTEGRATED LABORATORY

A multidisciplinary team coordinated by the Economic-Finance Director, Mr. Javier Gonzalez, and the Assistant Medical Director of General Clinical Services, Dr. Edurne Omaetxebarria, and comprised by specialists from the laboratories at Cruces Hospital and San Eloy Hospital (Dr. Jorge Barrón, Chief of the Healthcare Laboratory Management Unit and the Chief of Microbiology Service, Dr. Antonio Lopez Urrutia, Chief of the Biochemistry Service, Dr. Juan Carlos Garcia, Chief of the Haematology Service, Dr. Itziar Marzana, Chief of the Clinical Analysis Service at San Eloy Hospital, Dr. Mertxe Sota, Chief of the Microbiology Section, Dr. Sara Erquiaga, Chief of the Haematology Section and Dr. Miren Sasieta, Chief of the Post-Analysis Section) have prepared the technical report for the bid for the products and equipment that are necessary to perform routine and emergency clinical analysis techniques at the new Cruces University Hospital Laboratory Building and at the San Eloy Hospital's laboratory for hospital care. 

Four companies have submitted bids to this request for proposals: ABBOTT, IZASA, ROCHE and SIEMENS. All the bids that were submitted have had a high technological level and offer innovative solutions that allow to integrate various laboratory areas in a single automated platform: a CORE that will integrate biochemistry, immunoassay, serology, haematimetry and coagulation teams in the new Cruces University Hospital Laboratory Building.
