In May 2006, Cruces University Hospital initiated the I need your silence campaign, a program to facilitate a more calm environment for patients during their stay, reducing the high number of visits and lowering noise levels. For this, several measures have been put in place, such as creating informative tri-fold brochures, placing displays, posters and floor signage, including an informative space with the campaign image each time the television is turned on, controlling the hours of unrestricted television volume or restricting patient visits to two per day on holidays and weekends by providing two visitor passes.
